Unit4, which markets the Agresso and Coda lines, has entered the Australian market. The Netherlands-based vendor named Peter Simons as Director of UNIT4 for Australia and New Zealand. It had used distributors in Australia for the last decade. These organizations, Agresso Pty Ltd., Connexxion Business Solutions, and S1 Consulting & Software Services Pty Ltd., "will be key in taking UNIT4 solutions to market and providing services around them," the company said in a press release. But otherwise, Unit4 is seeking to build its market through direct sales. Simons was previously director of sales and marketing for Agresso Australia starting in November 2010 and until he took the new job in July.  Before that, he was general manager for Maximizer ANZ from January 2007 to November 2010.
