ORACLE GETS RIMINI INJUNCTION

Oracle has been granted a permanent injunction against Rimini Street, which provides support for enterprise software. The Federal District Court in Nevada rejected Rimini’s effort to delay the injunction which prohibits Rimini and its CEO Seth Ravin from continuing what a 2015 copy infringement trial found was unlawful infringement.

MAS BASE GETTING SQL SERVER

sage logoSage is making way for SQL Server in Version 4.5 of the MAS line, scheduled for release in the fourth quarter. The ability to utilize SQL Server was released in October, but only for new customers, according to Erik Kaas, senior director of product management. Now, the installed base can choose between the Microsoft database engine and Sage’s historic Providex. That’s one of the additions in the road map that Sage has laid out, with many of the changes encompassing technology and features that have started in the Accpac line.
