MICROSOFT HONES WINDOWS 8.1

Microsoft logoMicrosoft this week rolled out its Windows 8.1 Update. And the headline for the part of the press release that announces the changes says a lot about the issues the Windows 8 series has face: "easier to use, runs great on more devices." I suppose that's as opposed to not so easy to run and running OK on some devices. A big concession is the continuing acknowledgment that not everybody wants a touch screen interface. In the official words, "Key features of the update include user interface improvements for mouse and keyboard users, the ability to access the taskbar from any screen and pin Windows Store apps to the taskbar."
