Denmark-based reseller Columbus showed decent revenue growth for the nine months ended September 30 despite a slowdown in the SMB business in the United States. The company this week reported before tax profit of roughly $9.6 million for the reported period, up 4 percent from a year earlier.

As the parent company is trimming the Macola channel, it also is readying expansion of the JobBoss channel. Jeff Ralyea, VP of manufacturing for ECI Software Solutions, noted the manufacturing said the company will expand the reseller base for the job shop package.

ECI Software Solutions has notified all U.S. and Canadian Macola resellers their contracts will expire. It’s clear ECI, which owns Macola, is dropping many domestic resellers, but is not clear yet what will take their place.
