FINANCIALFORCE ADDS ANALYTICS Featured

FinancialForce has added more predictive analytics tools to its pre-release of the Winter Release 2020 and announced general availability of the Fall 2019 release. The cloud software company also continued adding workspaces to its applications.

The addition of analytics is a major part of the FinancialForce product strategy.  “We continue to invest in analytics across the product,” according to Dan Brown, chief product and strategy officer. New analytical tools include a Revenue Trend Predictions Dashboard; PSA Billing Forecasting and a Subscription Bookings Dashboard. FinancialForce also introduced eight new workspaces. A workspace is described as a “one-stop-shop experience for users based on their role, guiding them with alerts and KPI counts to allow them to prioritize and perform all their daily tasks.” The new workspaces include Cash Management, Period End Close and Accounts Payable  in FinancialForce Accounting; ERP System Administration in Foundations;  Resource Manager in Professional Services Automation; Procurement Manager in Procurement; Billing Manager in Billing Central; and Order Fulfilment Manager in Order Management. “The user experience continues to be a big emphasis for us,” Brown said. PSA Project Management now includes what the company calls Next generation Gannt. Users can copy and paste tasks and there is enhanced filtering, along with support for custom fields. Brown noted users can add custom fields without turning to IT and the architecture enables the fields to be carried forward through new software versions.
