Sage Intacct is readying  its dash mesh platform, a technology that enables ERP applications to read and import data from a large variety of data bases. The platform was previewed during the company’s recent Sage Transform conference.

”It normalizes the data that can be used for reporting,” Dan Miller, EVP of Sage’s Medium Business Segment, said during at interview at the conference..There is no data for its introduction but Miller noted the time frame is “it’s not next quarter. It’s not forever” and said he has seen the proof of concept and users will likely see the “fruits of this” during Sage’s year ending September 30. Companies that want to draw from a wide variety of data sources usually build a data warehouse, but that is beyond the capabilities of most small and mid-size companies,  Miller said. Data meshing will bring data in real time from all of the relevant sources that users would like to work with. ERP users can bring in CRM, payroll or planning data, or weather information, virtually anything that is relevant. They will be able to use their reporting and analytical tools of choice.
