Patrick Smith, DeltekDeltek has published Project Risk Management for Dummies. The thirteenth book in its series of "For Dummies" books for project-based business, the new publication outlines how to identify and understand the uncertainties and discrete risk events that threaten to cause headaches for the schedule, for the budget, or both.

"Deltek's new guide is designed to help project professionals maintain control of risks across the entirety of a project so they can be more confident in a positive outcome," Patrick Smith, the company's SVP of marketing said in a prepared statement. The free, downloadable book is also being offered in conjunction with a webinar series for more deeply delving into topics discussed in the book. The sessions are being offered as follows: Part 1: Preparing for Project Risk Analysis, June 8; Part 2: Schedule Risk Analysis – Exposure, Drivers and Risk Mitigation, July 11; and Part 3: Cost Risk Analysis & Communication Made Simple, August 10.
