COLUMBUS NABS MICROSOFT HONOR Featured

Columbus has been named Microsoft's ERP Partner of the Year. That's quite an accomplishment for a company whose operations in the United States were struggling in 2014. The Danish company remedied its revenue challenges here with the purchase of Interdyn BMI and Sherwood Systems last year. I guess this can be looked at as buying your way to an award since revenue growth tends to be a major factor in these selections.

The finalists were K3 Software Solutions, based in the United Kingdom; UXC Eclipse, based in Australia; and mcaConnect, headquartered in Denver, Colo. The purchase of BMI caused problems in the Top 100 selection as Columbus and BMI had both been in prior lists. The solution was to separately report BMI with its $38.5 million in revenue and the rest of Columbus North America with an estimated $40 million. mcaConnect is the smallest independent organization of the companies in the category. K3 reported revenue of roughly $59.7 million for the first half ended December 30. UXC Eclipse, whose parent was swallowed by Computer Sciences Corp. had about $137 million, which is an estimate based on the 400 personnel reported and revenue given by the company with UXC was still independent.
