SAGE VET TAKE NEW JOB Featured

Brendan Flattery, UtilitywiseBrendan Flattery, who left the Sage Group last month after 13 years with the British Company, has taken the position of CEO with Utilitywise. Flattery started with Sage as managing director of the Accountants Division in October 2003. He was the CEO of Sage U.K. and Ireland, obviously a pretty significant geography for the company, from January 2011 from February 2015.

Flattery was then president of Sage Europe from February 2015 through September 2016. Another previously announced departure of a long-time executive came on September 30, the end of the company's fiscal year. Michael Robinson, group legal director and company secretary, retired from the company and was replaced by Victoria Bradin, general counsel and corporate secretary. Bradin joined in June. From 2009 until taking the new job in June, she was with London, England-based Misys, a financial services organization, and served as senior counsel for that company from October 2009 through February 2012. I wonder how many of the top 100 executives have changed since Steve Kelly took over two years ago. It looks like Flattery opted for little change in his commute. Utilitywise and Sage are both based in Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. Utilitywise is described as an energy and water-cost management consulting firm. I wonder how many times he has heard the phrase "Flattery will get you nowhere"?
