PARTNER POWER CHARTS U.S. GROWTH

Partner Power International, a Dynamics reselling conglomerate, has signed Western Computer of Oxnard, Calif., as a member. Western, with a staff of 80, became the latest in the select membership in the United. I say select because the only other American members are Atlanta-based Ibis, which joined in the last three months, regional CPA firms Sikich and PKF Texas, and New York-based Business Management International.

Poul Kjaer, CEO of the Denmark-based company, noted his organization intends to stick to its plan for recruitment larger members and keeping the central organization small. But he noted in an interview this morning that “We might expand further in the U.S. “It’s a huge country and also a country where there are many opportunities.” I think the word “might” translate as “plans to.” Kjaer and Sikich partner John Kleb said there will be recruitment of more Dynamics AX and CRM resellers. This conversation developed after Partner Power was reportedly mentioned yesterday by someone in the Microsoft world at Chicago’s leadership meeting who discussed it as buying group. That makes no sense and both Kjaer and Kleb emphasized that Partner Power members do not buy licenses jointly. But it does show just how much change is swirling in the channel.
