MCCOLLUM LEAVING EPICOR Featured

Craig McCollum, Epicor SoftwareCraig McCollum will leave his job as EVP of Epicor Software's Americas business. That news was released this week by Epicor CEO Joe Cowan as the company outlined general plans for its reselling program.

Cowan said McCollum "has decided to leave the company", a time-honored phrase. No date was disclosed.  This is the most important departure announced by Epicor since it was purchased by KKR in July for an undisclosed sum. Cowan said more changes can be expected. The change lessens the concentration of former Sage execs at the Austin, Texas-based company. McCollum held executive positions at Sage from July 2001 through August 2001 and Microsoft from September 2004 through June 2007. At Microsoft, he was VP of business strategy for the company's Dynamics group worldwide. He joined Epicor in May 2012. Other notable Sage alums at Epicor are Himanshu Palsule, who joined the company in November 2015 and became chief technology officer in October 2016, and Sally Craig, the director of Epicor's U.S. channel (according to her LinkedIn page). Craig, who joined Epicor in 2014, was with Sage from 1999 through 2011. Although there has been no formal announcement before this week, Cowen during the conference call said her role is running the channel.
