FISHBOWL NAMES PRESIDENT

Fishbowl Inventory has named Mary Scott as president of the company, whose products are a popular companion for QuickBooks. The announcement said she would work with CEO David Williams in growing the company and in leading new product launches and initiatives such as the Courage Above Mountains business incubation center for small businesses.
Partners in the CAM Center were listed as Utah Valley University, Think Atomic/Voonami, Kelly Services, Certiport and Snapp Conner PR. The center supports small and medium companies. The center was named for William’s son Cameron, a Fishbowl employee who died in 2008 at age 25. Scott was most recently (and not mentioned in the announcement) of VP of Grants, eTraining and Corporate Social Responsibility Programs of Certiport where she worked for nine years four months. Request to PR people: put the background in the release. Don’t make it sound like you new hires are in witness protection. Besides, then I have to go to Linkedin and find this stuff myself.
