NETSUITE SALES BOUNDARY SET Featured

Mark Hurd, OracleNetSuite Oracle has established a boundary to delineate the target markets for the company's channel and direct sales force. The threshold outlined during this week's partner kickoff at NetSuite SuiteWorld was 1,500 employees. Below that, it's the field of NetSuite and its VARs; above that the territory the Oracle direct sales force.

Of course, this has to be a rough boundary as there are lots of factors in judging who sells what to who other than simply staff or revenue size. I was told that channel conflict had largely been police through the lead registration system. This was the general program described by attendees as the press was barred from the event. One attendee said he has some concern VARs may be shut out of larger markets they could competently service. But beyond that, there was also a general assurance by Oracle CEO Mark Hurd that his company, which purchased NetSuite last year, plans to keep and invest in the cloud software operation.
