As part of a series of articles titled "The Sale of My Microsoft Dynamics Business", she placed revenue multiples on organizations with less than $25 million in annual revenue in collaboration with Dana Willmer from CloudSpeed.co. This includes the traditional VAR, which she placed at .5 to .75 times revenue. The others were as follows: VARs plus cloud/managed services, .7 to 1.1 times; hosted/SaaS provider, 1 to 1.5 times; and SaaS Own IP, 3 to 5 times. She said multiples for larger companies as much higher. One key to the conclusions are the estimates of recurring revenue, with VARs at 10 percent to 20 percent of their total; VARs plus, 40 percent to 60 percent; hosted/SaaS, more than 85 percent; and SaaS own IP, at 95 percent.
