Anne-Marie Huby, JustGivingNonprofit software vendor Blackbaud has entered a definitive agreement to acquire online fundraising service provider JustGiving. The United Kingdom-based target has had a role in the growth of peer-to-peer fundraising.

In purchasing all outstanding equity interests, Blackbaud will pay about $123 million through a combination of cash on borrowing under an existing credit facility. "Social, mobile and the rise of crowdfunding combined are transforming the way people give, and the pace of change is unprecedented," Anne-Marie Huby, co-founder and managing director of JustGiving, said in a prepared statement. Joining Blackbaud will enable the company's products to be developed further and will enhance Blackbaud's capabilities to serve individual donors and nonprofits by expanding peer-to-peer fundraising capabilities. Its current products in the area are TeamRaiser and Everydayhero. Blackbaud will add a personal crowdfunding capability that can be rolled out in the United States.
