DSD TAKES ON INTACCT, DYNAMICS Featured

Doug Deane, DSD Business Systems

DSD Business Systems has expanded its cloud offerings with the addition of two products. Perhaps not surprising, the historical Sage reseller started selling Intacct, after its acquisition by Sage.

But the more unusual move was the San Diego, Calif.-based company's home pages says it is carrying Dynamics 365 Business Edition and Enterprise Edition. Along with Acumatica, that makes three cloud products being marketed by CEO Doug Deane's company, and he says that will continue to be the case.Acumatica fills an important niche for us that our other products don't. Namely, it's a cloud product with deep distribution and manufacturing functionality," Deane says. "Acumatica will factor heavily into our future product lineup." Deane says the firm's access to Dynamics and other Microsoft products are hrought a Microsoft Master VAR. "Our MS announcement is an expansion," he says, "and doesn't signify that we're shrinking in any other areas, or eliminating other product offerings." It is not unusual for Sage VARs to take on either Acumatica or Intacct, but not many have opted for the Dynamics cloud line. In its submission for Bob Scott's VAR Stars for 2017, DSD said it had $11.5 million in revenue and 130 employees.
