DYNAMICS REVS PLUS 10 PERCENT Featured

microsoftDynamics revenue for the second quarter ended December 31 was 10-percent higher than in last year’s corresponding period. As usual, Microsoft did not issue actual revenue numbers for the product line.

However, it provided some data for making an estimate. The other relevant figure is Dynamics 365 revenue was up 67 percent. There’s no breakdown the contribution. Now, the Dynamics products fall into the software company’s Productivity and Business Processes, which also includes LinkedIn and separate Office Commercial and Office Consumer categories. The entire category rose by $1.8 billion. LinkedIn was up $1.1 billion; Office Commercial $552 million; and Office Consumer, $199 million. That leaves an increase of $45 million for Dynamics and since that is a 10 percent increase last year’s revenue was about $450 million, this years’ $495 million for the quarter and annualizing close to $2 billion, which sounds in the ball park.
