MYOB STARTS 'DEVELOPHER’ PROGRAM Featured

Tim Reed, MYOB MYOB has initiated the “developher” program, which is designed to increase the number of women in technical roles. The Australia-based software company provides successful candidates with paid, full-time internships.

Those who complete the program are offered full-time employment as associate developers with MYOB. CEO Tim Reed intends to have at least 40 percent of graduate-level roles in the engineering team filled by women each year. MYOB has completed a pilot of the program with one participant, Hannah Deutscher, becoming as associate developer in January. The company received 200 applications under an earlier version of the program in 2016. Since then it has been refined to include professional training from Coder Academy, as well as on-the-job mentoring and learning.
