INFOR EXPLAINS EXEC CHANGES Featured

Ashley Hart, InforInfor has explained the change in organization that led to the departure of its co-presidents this year. The company this week also announced the hiring of three other senior executives. CEO Charles Phillips explained the changes during a conference call for the software company’s earnings call for the quarter ended July 31.

He noted this year’s departure of co-presidents Duncan Angove and Stephen Scholl, who both joined Infor from Oracle, along with Phillips, in December 2010. Phillips said Infor has moved toward a “more regional and general manager module” with decision making pushed down into company. He noted in the past, Infor had been organized more around industries. For example with EMEA, “A lot of them reported in to someone in the U.S.”. The change toward regional operation has enabled Infor to add executive talent in other regions. Ashley Hart joined as chief marketing officer in March. She replaced Chip Coyle who held the position from January 2011 through April 2018. She was CEO and founder of Ashley Hart marketing, which she began in 2007. Comac Watters, EVP of EMEA and APAC, joined in August. He came from SAP where he was a managing director from October 2014 through June 2017 and was COO of SAP EMEA North from July through December 2007. Also in August, Infor again dipped into the Oracle talent pool for Rod Johnson as  EVP manufacturing and supply chain and the GT Nexus business unit. From December 2015, through December 2017, Johnson was SVP for North America for enterprise sales of ERP, EPM and SPM. Phillips noted Johnson has “hired a number of proven managers” from companies including Oracle and IBM.
