Ralyea said that stems from “significant” growth in volume for that product. ECI is the company which took over JobBoss, Macola and Max, last year. JobBoss 2018, the most recent release, debuted under ECI in April. The JobBoss channel has been low-key—there does not appear to be any reference to resellers on the product’s website. The list has been removed from the Macola site and North American Macola dealers have been notified their contracts will not be renewed, but Ralyea said the company is dealing with a “subset” which may remain. International Macola VARs were not subject to the action. Ralyea noted ECI has both direct and indirect channels. For instance, it recently acquired Vineyardsoft, which has a channel. As far as the Macola product line, Ralyea said, “I am bullish on the Macola customer base and the Macola product line.”
