PEDERSEN LEAVES SAP FOR IFS (2) Featured

Christian Pedersen, IFSChristian Pedersen, who once played a key role in Microsoft’s Dynamics business, has become chief product officer of IFS, an enterprise software company based in Sweden. Pedersen joins the company after holding the same position with SAP from January 2017 through August this year.

Before that, he was with Microsoft from 2002 through October 2016. He came to Microsoft through its purchase of the former Navision, whose product lives on as Dynamics NAV. He was a director of that company from 1996 through 2002. At Microsoft, he was senior director for Dynamics CRM from 2005 through April 2011 and then served as GM for enterprise ERP from April 2011 through October 2016. My memory says he played an important role in the legendary Project Green, which never came to fruition in unifying the Dynamics ERP products under a single interface. IFS has been building out its executive suite this year after hiring Darren Roos as CEO in March, following the retirement of Alistair Sorbie  after 12 years in that role. In July, IFS hired Michael Ouissi as chief customer officer and Stephen Keys,  APJ, ME&A regional president. IFS, which is owned by investment firm EQT, has a channel program which encompasses VARs, distributors and others as channel partners. It also has a services, solutions and referral partners. The company’s U.S. headquarters is in Itasca, Ill.
