MCDERMOTT MOVING TO SERVICENOW Featured

Shortly after announcing he would leave SAP,  CEO Bill McDermott says he is taking over the top job at ServiceNow by the end of 2019. McDermott is stepping into the job of CEO and president with John Donahoe moving from those positions at ServiceNow to take over leadership of Nike.

McDermott was co-CEO of SAP From 2010 through 2014 and CEO since 2014. McDermott is going from SAP, which had revenue of approximately $28 billion for 2018 to ServiceNow, which reported $2.7 billion for the same year. SAP has experienced some significant leadership changes, including McDermott’s stepping down and Jennifer Morgan and Christian Klein coming in as co-CEOs in January. In February, Berndt Leukert, co-leader of Digital Business Services, resigned while Robert Enslin, president of the software’s company’s Cloud Business Group, left to become president of cloud sales of Google in April. McDermott, Leukert and Enslin were all on the executive board so that means within a year, a third of the nine-member board will have changed.
