Pay for three of Blackbaud’s top executives dropped by double digits for 2022. Documents filed by the nonprofit software company with the SEC showed the drops for CEO Mike Gianoni, CFO Tony Boor and CTO Kevin McDearis

However, those changes followed similar hefty rises in compensation from 2020 through 2021. Gianoni’s compensation last year was $11.8 million, an increase of 25 percent from $8.8 million for 2021 after rising from $8.8 million in 2020. Most of the 2021 pay was $11 million in stock awards with that dropping to slightly more than $8 million for 2022. Similarly, Boor’s pay last year dropped 21.6 percent to $4.7 million from $3,.6 million. McDearis’ compensation for 2022 was $3.3 million, off 16.9 percent. Only COO Kevin Gregoire had an increase with his $3.6 million in pay, 17.7 percent higher than the $2.7. million the year before. New to the list of names executives was chief customer officer who made $4.1 million. Compensation for all the executives was overwhelmingly from stock awards as there were no option awards and none receive non-equity incentive compensation.
