EXACT SOFTWARE REBRANDS
Exact Software has rebranded itself and launched a new Web site by dropping the word "software" from its corporate name. Exact is probably still better known in the United States by the Macola and Progression product names than by the corporate name, a problem faced by some major software vendors whose corporate moniker is far less known than their chief products' names.
The new logo features the word "Exact" preceded by an equal sign followed by a tag line, giving =Exact And It All Comes Together. The company also changed its URL from www.exactsoftware.com to www.exact.com and I think it means that it got its hands on that name recently because when I've previously typed exact.com into the browser, something different came up.
