SAGE STARTS NEW AWARDS PROGRAM

Wayne SchulzSage North America has introduced two new awards for its resellers and outside of the official explanation the effect of one has been to give smaller resellers, who don't have a lot of sales volume, a chance for recognition.
The Spirit award was described as honoring VARs that embody the Sage principles of agility, innovation, simplicity, trust, and integrity. The first awards went to Schulz Consulting of Glastonbury, Conn., and the Azamba Consulting Group of Chicago. Wayne Schulz, owner of Schulz Consulting, has been something of a small VAR phenomenon with a two-person shop, revenue of about $400,000 a year, and a seemingly pervasive presence with a never-ending stream of posts on every important social media site. About two years ago, he affiliated with DSD Business Systems of San Diego, a move he described as essentially a merger with the local offices running and billing their own consulting work. Sage's other new awards category, the Sage Community Service awards went to Bredet Services of Oakville, Ontario, and DSD. Bredet helps raise money for several national and local charities while DSD co-sponsors San Diego's Adopt-a-Family at Christmas and Hire-a-Youth programs.
