FPA GETS LEVEL PLATFORM AWARD
FPA Technology Services (formerly known as Faye Pollack & Associates) has been named Partner Innovator of the Year by Level Platforms. The company said the award recognizes Craig Pollack of FPA Technology Services for advancing the innovative use of Level Platforms Managed Workplace. The Rookie of the Year award was given to Aaron Donaldson of RSM McGladrey.
FPA changed its name in December, a decision the organization said reflected its business offering. I'd say it also reflects the fact that co-founder David Faye, who was CEO last year, launched Faye Business Systems Group last month. The split also shows up in a division of the product lines. Faye Pollack had been a MAS 90/200 reseller until sometime in the last few months. While there's a Sage box in the picture on FPA's software page, the emphasis in the narrative was that FPA helps clients select applications. Faye Business Systems got custody of the Sage business and its lines include MAS 90/200, CRM and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. FPA's emphasis is on things like Managed Services, Exchange Server, Microsoft Office and on vertical markets that include investment advisors, distributors and manufacturers, CPAs and cemeteries and funeral homes. Given the average age of partners in CPA firms, the combination of the last elements makes a great deal of sense.
