ADP GOING MOBILE WITH PAYROLL

With an initial venture into mobile payroll aimed at CPAs and mid-market companies, ADP is planning to launch mobile payroll applications for its Run payroll system during the September quarter. And during a Webcast last month, the company said it would support all devices, in the iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Android.
The plan was described in the company's investors' day Webcast by CIO Mark Capone who said pilot projects are being put together for both small and mid-market customers. The company will also introduce a Web 2.0 portal interface during its fiscal year ending June 30. Capone said this is designed for use at mid-sized and large companies and would include employee self-service features. ADP’s product for the CPA market, Run, was introduced in 2008 in what the company  Capone called a rolling basis. It apparently has been spreading throughout the system and will be available through the entire Small Business Services sales force soon.  Capone describe the Web.20 interface as consistent for  practitioners and employees, but offering slightly different functions.
