DYNAMICS CRM 11 DEBUTS

Microsoft does have a habit of preannouncing products. But the fact that it headlined Dynamics CRM 2011 as being introduced this week says a lot about the obvious emphasis on CRM. The next edition is being released to beta in September. As outlined by Kirk Koenigsbauer, corporate vice president of the Office Business Platform Group, Dynamics CRM gets a ribbon so it works “Just like the Office experience does.”  He also referred to charts and graphs inside of CRM as being “a little like Performance Point Services …”
For years, there's been a lot of discussion that Microsoft's pitch for both CRM and ERP would someday get to this just-like office pitch. The page that offers users a chance to sign up to participate in the test refers to CRM 2011 as offering a next-generation Microsoft Outlook experience, role-tailored design and advanced user personalization. The beta is available for both online and on-premise deployment. Somehow, I’m sitting here trying to imagine General Motors offering customers a chance to sign up for the beta release of the 2011 Chevrolet and listing features without actually having a car to sell. And as the announcer for "The Price of Right" says, "And you could win this 2011 beta SUV".
