NETSUITE ENHANCES VAR PROGRAM
NetSuite is waiving a $5,000 first-year fee for new VARs as the online application vendor enhances a channel program that it rolled out last year. Craig West, VP of channel sales, said that is one of the benefits in SuiteStart, a program designed to get resellers up and running quickly after they enlist in the NetSuite channel. "It’s another step to knocking down barriers for new partners and shorten time to productivity," West said.
This includes shortening the required training from 25 to 20 days. The program continues the offer to give VARs 100 percent margin on the initial sale, with 10 percent of revenue in each succeeding year that the user remains a NetSuite customer. The program is designed to appeal to those used to getting money upfront for license fees. The catch is that under the regular program while the dealers receive 50-percent margin the first year, they get 30-percent margin on renewals.
