FINANCIALFORCE HITS PRO SERVICES

FinancialForce.com has launched FinancialForce SRP, a Services Resource Planning product. It combines Salesforce CRM, with professional services automation and accounting. The 526-word press release may set a record for buzzwords and puffery and other than being built on the Force.com platform, it seems to do a lot of the things you’d expect from the applications.

Well, here is part of the official explanation “Organizations gain visibility and actionable insight by seeing all activities related to a customer on one 360° account view, including activities from sales, professional services, billing, and accounts receivable. Processes flow seamlessly from sales through project management and services delivery to accounts receivable and general ledger; an optimized process for invoicing and receivables speeds payment and maximizes cash flow.” One indication of the target market seems to come from an IDC research analyst who said it could be useful for those who don’t have Salesforce.com well integrated to PSA.
