JAEGER, ASHLEY LEAVE SAP CHANNEL TEAM
Two managers involved in recruiting resellers for SAP's Business ByDesign, Dawn Jaeger and Geoff Ashley, have left the company. SAP confirmed departures which it pictured as being "normal attribution." Ashley had held the position of director of business development since July 2010. He was gone from SAP for four months after he had served as director of channel sales for ByD, having worked at SAP from September 2004 through March 2009.
Jaeger served as the channel development manager for ByD from April 2010 and was strategic partner recruitment manager, SME, from January 2005 through September 2010. (Her LinkedIn site gives the overlap.) A statement by a spokesperson said it is "also important to note that other top-notch channel professionals have recently joined, furthering the overall growth of SAP’s channel business." No names were given and I didn't ask - yet. But I imagine given the highly visible failure of ByD three years ago and the extremely high importance given to channel development there is a lot of pressure and SAP and not much room for anything other than great performance.
