EQUATION FOLDS INTO BAASS
Equation Technologies, based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, has merged into Baass Business Solutions. Both companies are historic Sage resellers and the Sage base in Canada has been consolidating over the last two years. Last year, Equation acquired the Sage practice of Balgord Software Solutions. Baass reported revenue of $10.5 million (Canadian) in its VAR Star form for 2012.
Equation Technologies listed $3.1 million for fiscal 2011. Equation president Pat Wade, with the company since July 1985, has become VP of management consulting for Bass. Baass will take on Deltek Vision and Bamboo HR, which had been carried by Equation. However, it will not be handling the Avectra social media management application. That will be handled by Affinity NFP. Affinity was started in 2010 by Balgord owner, Annette Balgord, but became inactive when she joined Equation as a partner and vice president.
