ACUMATICA LOOKING TO ISVS IN 4.0

Christian Lindberg, AcumaticaCloud vendor Acumatica is seeking to develop relationships with software developers to expand the reach of version 4.0 of product. "We are still a young product. We still need deep industry and vertical capabilities," says Christian Lindberg, a Microsoft veteran who jumped to Acumatica last month as VP of Partner Solutions. It is Lindberg's job to set up the channel that can recruit and feed the ISV community. The company is supporting integration via the enhanced Acumatica Studio which enables the publishers to work inside Acumatica itself.
Avalara announced links to Avalara's sales-and-use-tax system, JaaS manufacturing, Fusion retail and POS, and Accellos warehouse manufacturing, along with connections to other third-party products. One area of function improvement is in project accounting. Version 3.0 introduced the project accounting module and Lindberg says with this week's roll out "We are up to power and speed as to what you would expect." And that means functionality and performance similar to Dynamics SL. Acumatica's product grew out of the Solomon - now Dynamics SL - code base. Solomon was known for its project accounting features. The company touts integrated functionality for the GL, cash management, AP, AR and employee portal applications and lists enhancements to features in the areas its BI capabilities, web reporting, and dashboards. Also released today is a Windows 8 desktop application “Expense It for Acumatica”, available free for download from the Windows 8 app store. Acumatica users on Windows 8 to submit, edit, and review expense claims in their company’s cloud ERP system.
