The president of Acronis, Yuri Larichev, was CEO of Acumatica until March. Also at Acronis is Dan Phan, director of demand generation at Acumatica until December when he became director of the demand center for Acronis. Phan was the guy behind the Acumatica twins in last year's marketing. Hendrikse said Acumatica now must move from recruiting VARs to enabling them to sell more software, job given in April to Richard Duffy, VP of partner strategy and enablement. Hendrikse's position will likely be split into the jobs of CMO and chief sales officer. The replacement of Larichev, still a member of the Acumatica advisory board, was partly driven by international tensions—it was believed it was better not to have a Russian at the helm, Hendrikse said. That was behind the hiring of Jon Roskill from Microsoft to take the CEO job in order to "Give Acumatica a more American brand," Hendrikse said. Beloussov was also founder and CEO of Singapore-based Solomon Software SEA from 1996 through 1999, which led to Parallels and then to Acumatica, whose roots are in the Solomon code.
