SAP NAMES MICROSOFT EXEC CTO Featured

Quentin Clark, SAP SAP has hired Quentin Clark as chief technology officer effective next week. Clark joins SAP from Microsoft where he was most recently corporate VP of the business applications space. Before that, he was corporate VP of the vendor's Data Platform Group from June 2006 through June 2014. He held various roles in Microsoft's development since 1994. Clark takes over the position left by long-time executive Vishal Sikka.

He left the SAP executive board in May and became CEO and managing director of Infosys in June. Sikka was the company's first CTO, having taken the job in April 2007. SAP described Clark's role at the Data Platform Group as having "led the development of the transformation of the data platform to the cloud, delivering the first wave of Microsoft Azure's Data Platform products."
