XEROCON STARTS NEXT WEEK Featured

Matt Jefferson, formerly of XeroWhen Xero announced of CEO Douglas Jeffries hiring on January 29, it also announced Matt Jefferson as sales director for the United Kingdom. Jeffries left after eight weeks with no job in hand and websites show Jefferson listing himself as interim sales director from January through March. He is now concentrating his efforts on his company, Jefferson Sales. North American CEO Peter Karpas resigned in September after six months in office.

So the New Zealand-based could software vendor is going a bit short of leaders into its second North American Xerocon conference in Denver, Colo., next week after skipping the event last year. Xero would probably like to have a few things in better shape than it appears right now—unless it has some announcements pending.  Leadership vacancies leave awkward questions as appears likely with sage which is going into Summit conference in late July with no North American CEO after Pascal Houillon was run out of town. At the best, both companies could hire leaders who will have no experience by the time these confabs occur. Russell Fujioka, hired as Xero's U.S. president, in February, will apparently be the centerpiece for leadership on this continent. Xero also had hoped to have gone public in the U.S by now.
