Unit4, which markets the Agresso and Coda lines, said this week that revenue for the fourth quarter ended December 31, would be about $164 million, an increase of roughly 3 percent from a year earlier. The numbers were released in a trading update with final results to be reported on February 25.

EBITDA for the most recently ended quarter was about $36.3 million, a drop of about 8.5 percent from the final quarter of 2010. The EBITDA margin was almost 22 percent. The company listed several areas, including the United States, that it said performed well, but noted that Spain was below expectations and added that “further measures to enhance profitability have been taken.” SaaS/subscription revenue grew by more than 35 percent, but Unit4 said it also had modest organic growth in license revenue. Revenues for the year are expected to be around $590 million, an increase of just under 8 percent from 2010. The company reported that FinancialForce.com had a growth rate of about 350 percent for December 2011, compared to last year’s corresponding period. FinancialForce.com is a company owned by Unit4 and Salesforce that offers cloud-based ERP, PSA and services resource planning applications.
