In a prepared statement, Deltek CEO Mike Corkery said, "Roper's commitment to aggressively investing in our products and employees means we will continue to deliver the solutions and expertise that drives significant benefits for our customers." Roper, based in Sarasota, Fla., reported net income of $697.1 million on revenue of $3.58 billion for the year ended Dec. 31, 2015. It owns several companies that service a variety of niche markets. These include Aderant, which provides software to the legal market; OnCenter International, which offers software for contractors, construction and trade; and ConstructConnect, whose applications serve general contractors, subcontractors, building product manufacturers, designers, architects, and project owners. In its last publicly released numbers, Deltek, which offers software for the architecture, engineering and account markets, had $340.5 million in revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 2011.

Deltek is being acquired from investment firm Thoma Bravo by Roper Technologies in a $2.8-billion deal. Under the agreement announced this week, Deltek will continue to operate under its own name and current management as a separate company. Thomas Bravo acquired Deltek for $1.1 billion late in 2012.
