EPICOR GETS NEW CHANNEL EXEC

Matt Bauer, EpicorWhen you ask "whatever became of" regarding corporate managers, the chances are they are no longer there. Epicor did not announce the hiring of Matthew Bauer as channel director, Americas in February. He replaced Patrick Coulbourne, who was senior director of channels for the Americas. Coulbourne resigned in January and became VP of channels and ecosystems at KeyedIn Solutions.

Coulbourne came to Epicor in January 2010 after 17 years at Great Plains/Microsoft. He was the first channel person from Epicor to reach out to me for some time, but that was in December right before he left. No wonder there was no follow up. Bauer spent from July 2010 to February this year at SandBridge Partners. His Linkedin page describes his role there as providing "outsourced executive marketing and business development services for B2B enterprise software and technology-based services." Bauer's career is varied. At SandBridge, he was managing partner, of marketing and business development. Before that, he spent from March 2009 through March 2010 as ecosystem VP at Invensys Operations Management. He developed global strategy to transform partner programs into a "collaborative ecosystem for newly formed IOM business unit." But with his stays at 12 companies in 29 years (counting the purchase of one of his employers by Rockwell as one), the words "marketing" and "strategy" come up more than "channel".
