VIEWPOINT UPDATES SPECTRUM Featured

Matt Harris, ViewpointFresh off its purchase of the former Dexter+Chaney, Viewpoint has enhanced the acquired company’s Spectrum construction software. The updates include a cloud-based Service Tech mobile field service app and a beta version of Spectrum Business Intelligence for data analysis, business modeling and advanced reporting.

Viewpoint made what it called “significant updates" to its Procontractor software. Among these are a redesigned main project screen, mobile clock-out notifications and new project search capabilities. There are additions to Viewpoint’s Vista platform, including a new Service Dispatch Board, Accounting Work Center, and improved accounts payable functions. Viewpoint also recently announced a partnership with mapping software platform DroneDeploy which enables drones to take imagines of construction sites. “This exciting new capability gives project teams a single location to access critical project information, such as drone site maps, and track job progress in real-time,” SVP of products Matt Harris said in a prepared statement. Compatible with data from any drone, the platform automates the flight of DJI drone models. Novice users can trace boundaries of an area they want mapped, then the drone will fly the route, capture an image payload and land by itself.
