Thirty-three firms on the Top 100 2018 list began operation in 1988 or before. Another thirty-two started between 1990 and 1999, with 18 of those debuting in from 1990 through 1995. So 51 have been in business at least 23 years. The dates can be deceiving as these numbers exclude several accounting firms whose dates are the founding date of the firm itself, not the reselling and consulting business while other accounting firms showed the founding date of the IT group. This count tells you what you can see at any conference—there’s a lot of gray hair around. What is more important is how many resellers are still being run by the founders and may be looking to exit sometime
