DSD also recently purchased Plainville, Conn.-based Realized Financial Solutions which has been a Sage VAR since 2008. The RSM deal isn’t surprising as the firm has been emphasizing its NetSuite business and to a lesser extent Dynamics. It also fits in to a pattern of firms enlarging their Sage practices presumably as the legacy products become less appealing. RKL eSolutions, for example, has picked off practices for both Sage 100 and 500 over the last few years.

Reseller DSD Business Systems has acquired the Sage 100 business from RSM US. San Diego, Calif.-based DSD notes this moves the firm’s operations into the Midwest. RSM had operated the Sage 100 practice since 1991 and had more than 125 clients.
