Among them are three members of the Interdyn consortium, companies that have been strong Dynamics GP backgrounds. Carrying Intacct now are Interdyn BMI, Artis and Cargas. For the latter two, Intacct is their first non-Microsoft accounting package. However, when it comes to loyalty, more Dynamics VARs have strayed than Sage dealers. Another consortium member, Socius, which handles both Sage and Dynamics products, is also reportedly considering Intacct. One Dynamics VAR said customers want real cloud and there is no guarantee that when Microsoft comes through with its offerings, they will be true SaaS products. On the Sage side, top reseller Blytheco is going to pick up a SaaS-based ERP product in the next 90 days. While owner Steve Blythe has not said which product will be selected, bets are on NetSuite. Another influential Sage VAR that has gone to non-Sage products to reach the cloud is Arxis Technology of Simi Valley, Calif., which has both SAP's Business ByDesign and Intacct.

NOT WAITING FOR BIG GUYS' CLOUDS
The important thing in this year's Top 100 VAR list is not how many resellers are carrying cloud products. It is who they are. It looks like 21 of the 100 chosen are marketing Internet-based financial applications, up from 11 in 2011. And many of them are influential organizations that are not waiting for Microsoft or Sage to make the move.
