SAP YEAR REVS UP 6 PERCENT Featured

 SAP as reported that revenue for the year ended December 31 reached approximately $33.8 billion, an increase of 6 percent over 2022, up 9 percent in constant currency.

The company reported after tax profit more than doubled to roughly $14.8 billion. The story was the usual one for software companies as cloud revenue while software income dropped. Cloud revenue for 2023 was about $14.8 billion up 20 percent, 23 percent in constant currency. Software license revenue dropped 14 percent year-over-year to about $1.9 billion while software support revenue fell 3 percent to roughly $12.5 billion. SAP’s star software line, S/4 Hana, produced about $3.8 billion for the most recently ended year, an increase of 67 percent, 72 percent in constant currency. The company reported cloud revenue was particularly strong in APJ and EMEA and solid in the Americas.
