CDC BUYS ACTIVPLANT
CDC Software, based in Shanghai, China, and Atlanta, has acquired Activplant, a Canadian-based company that provides manufacturing business intelligence applications.
CDC will position the acquired company's product, CDC Factory, in the package manufacturing operations management space. CDC anticipates the acquisition will generate cross-selling opportunities for CDC Supply Chain in the Tier 1 automotive market and expand the company's offerings in the food and beverage and consumer packaged goods markets.
