DYNAMICS KENNEDY JOB CHANGE? YES

Doug Kennedy, MicrosoftWhen first approached about a possible change for Doug Kennedy, Microsoft's official response last week was that it was just a title change and occurred months ago. But with a brief job description ensuing from the software company, there is no doubt that what he  is doing now is radically different from his previous role as VP of Dynamics Partners and Support Services.

Typical midmarket channel duties now fall under Rich Wickham as GM for Dynamics partner sales. The official description is that "In this role, Rich is responsible for channel partner strategy and programs, including partner compensation, incentives, licensing models, training and certifications." Kennedy is now VP Microsoft Dynamics enterprise sales and customer lifecycle management and is primarily involved with the big folks in the channel:  "Kennedy’s enterprise partner portfolio primarily consists of the Global Systems Integrators, Enterprise Business Transformational Consulting firms and a select group of Global Independent Software Vendors which have built their solutions on Dynamics AX and/or CRM." Kennedy is also responsible for the existing customer support and services programs, including Dynamics’ Customer Success Manager. That certainly says something about the status of those two products in the Dynamics family. I would describe it as a very clear message.
