VALUE UNIT VP HUNTER EXITS SAGE

 Sam Hunter,  SageThe latest Sage North America manager heading for the door was Sam Hunter, not be surprising given his title. Hunter is SVP and general manager of the Value Business Unit and Sage Fixed Assets and with Sage sunsetting value products such as Sage Pro and PFW that is not going to leave a large portfolio. Hunter left on March 1, although his picture is still on the Sage website of senior executives and managers, but so is that of former CFO Marc Loupe.
Loupe technically left the company in November, but who is staying to help with the sale of the company's nonprofit software, Act and SalesLogix. Hunter joined Sage in 2003 as a product marketing manager. He moved into his final job in May 2007. "Recently led the Sage ACT! contact management product line." Act and SalesLogix are being sold to SwiftPage. The Value Business Unit was established as a home for products that Sage felt had their best days behind them. However, they lingered until the last two years when the management under Guy Berruyer, CEO of the parent Sage Group, did more to sunset and sell old products than had been done in the previous 10 years
