ABILA BUYS AVECTRA Featured

Krista Endsley, AbilaAbila, the former Sage Nonprofit Solutions, has acquired Avectra, which makes CRM applications for associations and not-for-profits. Terms were not disclosed.

"Their product portfolio completes our portfolio," said Abila CEO Krista Endsley. Avectra has a staff of 170 so the deal more than doubles the size of Abila to 300 employees. Endsley says the Abila channel is eager to be introduced to Avectra's NetForum membership management product. Currently, JMT Solutions of Patterson, N.Y., is the only VAR carrying both product lines. Avectra - now called Avectra, an Abila company - is headquartered in McLean, Va., and has offices in Chicago and Maitland, Fla. These will remain open. Abila was formed after Sage sold its nonprofit accounting operations to Accel-KKR and also sold SalesLogix and Act to SwiftPage, which received an investment from Accel-KKR.
