QURIUS NAMES CEO

Qurius, a European Dynamics reseller, has named Leen Zevenbergen as CEO, effective January 1, replacing Fred Hermans who was described as leaving the company by mutual consent. In a not great year for resellers the formerly rapidly growing Qurius has had a particularly not-great year.

That was underscored by a prepared statement from the company that Hermans is leaving “following an irreconcilable difference of opinion regarding the future and management of the company." Zevenbergen's task was described as realigning strategy and bringing "new élan in the management of the operations" Considering that early in the year, Qurius suspended payment on about $3.7 million in debt and that paid $2.4 million toward that from proceeds of the sale of a subsidiary, things could have been better. The company closed a small Danish office in May and a 78-person Swedish office in June. Qurius operates primarily in Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
