The agenda also notes that Macola 10 will operate in a role-based model, provide user configuration, employ options for easy integration and include new third-party functionality. A road map was provided and product strategy discussed and further the company says not, at least in public. There was also a session on the introduction of the on-demand deployment option and "how to replace the capital expense of a perpetual software license with a subscription pricing model without sacrificing functionality," in the words of the agenda description. There was also a description of the new Premium Support offering for enterprise customers. The Macola unit has probably made more new moves since Forsythe took over a year ago than in the previous eight. So give yourself some credit and release some news!

EXACT READIES MACOLA 10, ON-DEMAND Featured
Exact is telling its customer and channel about the planned Macola 10 and about a new sales account coverage model during its Evolution conference this week. Exact is doing a lot new with Macola, including the show, which replaces its previous Engage and Nexus conferences. What it has not done during the two days of Evolution is issue news, except for one press release describing the conference. The conference agenda shows that general manager Alison Forsythe discussed the new sales account coverage in her keynote as well as the direction of Exact Macola.
